Savor a Steaming Bowl of Honkai Star Rail Rice
Honkai Star Rail is teaming up with famous kamameshi (kettle rice) brand, Oginoya to celebrate the arrival of two brand new characters. With the release of Yunli and Jiaoqu comes two unique kamameshi dishes (¥2,200 each) inspired by the characters. Yunli’s dish comes with a large helping of stewed pork while Jiaoqu’s has a medical herbal flavor, fitting as his character is a healer in the game. These can be purchased online or enjoyed at ORBcafe outlets. The kamameshi comes with additional goods such as a randomized character postcard and themed wrapping paper. Order both types of kamameshi and receive a gift set of two large coasters. Diners who visit ORBcafe will also be able to enjoy an interior decorated like Honkai Star Rail and additional themed drinks.
Kamameshi is a type of Japanese pilaf dish that is cooked with various types of meat, seafood and vegetables. Flavorings for the rice are typically soy sauce, sake, mirin or a combination of the three. The rice is then cooked inside an iron pot with all of the ingredients which increases the umami flavor of the rice.
