See the Finale Guitarist
Morris Guitars is hosting their 24th annual Fingerpicking Guitar Contest inside the iconic Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama. The best up-and-coming guitarists have been selected from regional tournaments across Japan, and will be competing in the finale show. The 2025 Fingerpicking Champion will be chosen live by the panel of judges and will receive a handmade premium Morris Guitar. Festival attendees can also cast a vote for the Audience Award through online voting.
The event will also have a special performance by Seiji Igusa, a renowned fingerpicking artist and former champion.
The Acoustic Guitar Live Festival is a unique cultural experience. It’s a celebration of Japan’s rich guitar-crafting heritage and the captivating art of fingerpicking-style guitar playing. Following the contest, the Fingerpicking Super Live event will feature performances by top artists in the fingerpicking guitar music scene. Artists include Seiji Igusa, Tokio Uchida, Kenta Ebara and Rynten Okazaki.
Morris Guitars has been producing handcrafted Japan-made acoustic guitars since 1967.
