Tokyo’s largest Irish-themed parade
Omotesando will host the annual Saint Patrick’s Parade on Sunday March 18 welcoming hundreds of Irish expats and Japanese as they march down Tokyo’s most famous shopping street.
Afterwards enjoy a drink at one of the numerous St Paddy’s themed parties taking place at pubs and bars across the city.
The event is always bright, colorful and family friendly, although it is unclear how many locals are aware that Patrick was canonized for introducing Christianity to Ireland—and not for promoting a certain black-colored beer.
Date: Sunday March 18
