Now in its 14th year, the Academy Award accredited Short Shorts film festival returns to various venues in Tokyo and Yokohama to bring us a huge selection of short films from Japan and abroad.
Short films have long been an opportunity for emerging film-makers to show off their talents and in a limited time create something memorable and unique.
Since its inception the festival has aimed to provide a space for young Japanese directors to show their work along side those from Asia and around the world.
The festival has grown year on year and is now the biggest short film festival in Asia, this year it will be showing over 4400 short films from 112 different countries. There is a range of categories and events to suit all movie goers, with Laforet in Harajuku, Omotesando getting involved alongside the purpose built Short Shorts Theater in Yokohama.
Check out the website for more information on venues and schedules.
Starts today, June 15 and runs until June 24.
