If you’ve spent any time shopping in Ikebukuro, you’re no doubt familiar with giant shopping complex Sunshine City.
This November, alpa, the mall that makes up Sunshine City’s B1 to 3F floors, is getting a major makeover. In addition to nine stores getting major renovations, three brand-new stores will also open.
The new stores are petit main, coca and Francfranc, while the renovated stores include Loft, ABC Mart and Sac’s Bar.
These changes are in anticipation of the grand reopening of the entire floor, which is scheduled to take place in March 2018.
This follows the renovation of the 2nd floor in 2014 and the basement floor in 2016, which redesigned the main street and fountain square to be more attractive to women and their families.
Sunshine City may be a long-standing Ikebukuro staple, but there’s always something new to discover.
