Mejiro Garden is a fantastic downtown oasis just a five-minute walk from Mejiro station. From November 23 and December 2, the garden will be lit up in grand style and open to the public until 9PM.
This is the sixth annual illumination for the garden, which displays a variety of beautiful autumn leaves. Despite being situated in the middle of Tokyo, Mejiro Garden is a calming getaway. During the day, its colored trees are reflected beautifully on the surface of the pond, and at night, the innovative light design takes over for a whole different experience.
Admission to the garden is free from 9AM to 5PM, and 200 yen between 5:30PM and 9PM.
