Book and Bed Tokyo, the unique hostel that lets you sleep among a library of books, is opening its fourth location on Kaminarimon Street in the center of Tokyo’s old-school Asakusa neighborhood.
This branch of Book and Bed Tokyo is divided into two areas, one bookstore-themed and the other bar-themed. Both overnight guests and those popping in during the day can enjoy a full-fledged cafe and bar menu including original cocktails and coffee.
Reservations begin on September 29, and the grand opening is scheduled for October 5.
A limited number of Book and Bed Tokyo-themed pajamas designed by brand Nowhaw will also be available at the Asakusa branch and online. The pajamas can also be rented by guests for ¥1,000 yen, and come in two colors.
Book and Bed Tokyo Asakusa is the fourth branch of the bookstore-themed hostel chain. The initial branch in Ikebukuro launched in 2015, and was quickly followed by locations in Kyoto and Fukuoka.
The Asakusa branch is located right by Asakusa’s landmark Kaminarimon. The neighborhood known for being filled with many attractions that retain a classic Tokyo feel.
