When fans of sweet treats come to Tokyo, two of the brands they’re most interesting in finding are Tokyo Banana and Kit Kat, with its Japan-only flavors.
From November 15 to January 9, the two confectionary legends combined to create Tokyo Banana Kit Kat, which, no surprise, turned out to be a huge hit. The treat, which sold two million units in just eight weeks, was only available at a single store in Tokyo Station.
That led many to take to social media, asking for Tokyo Banana Kit Kat to be sold in more locations. In response, online sales for the limited-edition flavor launched January 10. It can now also be found at Haneda and Narita Airports, several train stations and other service areas.
