Things are heating up in a big way in Tokyo—so what better time than to visit a beer hall? From July 1 to August 31, Hotel New Otani’s teppanyaki restaurant Momiji-tei is transforming itself into a beer hall surrounded by the hotel’s 400-year-old Japanese garden.
The restaurant is offering up three courses. Its casual weekday dinner course (\8,500) includes seafood and thick slabs of cow tongue with salad, garlic rice and milk-flavored gelato for dessert. Its two genuine teppanyaki courses (\10,100/\14000) are made up of Japanese beef sirloin steak along with signature dishes from the various restaurants in the hotel.
All the courses include unlimited drinks, and for an additional fee, craft beer and champagne can be added for an upscale all-you-can-drink experience.
And while the rainy season may not quite be over yet, thanks to Momoji-tei’s roof, summer rains are no problem. Head to Hotel New Otani for a premium summer course in one of the city’s finest beer halls!
