Architecture that weaves people and nature together

From July 2 to November 9, the Mori Art Museum will be exhibiting “The Architecture of Sou Fujimoto: Primordial Future Forest.” The exhibit is a comprehensive overview of various projects from celebrated architect Sou Fujimoto’s design journey through plans, installations, large-scale models, photographs and prototypes.

From universities and hotels, to homes and multi-purpose complexes, Fujimoto has been involved in projects all over the world and is one of Japan’s leading architects. He is also currently serving as the design producer for the upcoming Expo 2025 world fair in Osaka.

Through the perspective of an art gallery, the exhibit also explores how architecture and urban design affect ecology, human relationships, the union or division of communities and technological developments.
