Japan’s internet cafes have long been a place to try out the latest tech without having to purchase it yourself, and Bagus is keeping that tradition alive with the launch of Virtual Gate, a VR service you can now try for free by installing the café’s official app.
The VR rental, which normally costs ¥300 on top of Bagus’s standard charges, uses a pair of VR goggles called FOVE, which incorporate the latest virtual reality technology, including eye tracking.
Over 250 VR experiences, including games, anime, idol concerts and more are available via Virtual Gate.
It sounds like a nice way to try out the latest VR tech – just make sure not to go wandering down the hallways while you’re plugged into those virtual worlds.
