Sayaka was born in Tokyo, Japan and was only aware of the big city life until moving to the island of Oahu when she was nine years old. The next nine years there had made her into a person of multiple cultures and personalities, as well as a music and nature lover. She had discovered her interests in literature and writing in university and currently works at Tokyo Weekender as an assistant.
