Freelance writer and innkeeper based in Kamakura. Helen spends most of her time picking up after her two young children, ruining the game Candy Land with homemade phonics cards, and daydreaming of owning her own cabane à sucre. She believes that homemade pies beat store pies nine times out of ten and that cold weather is pointless without snow. Helen writes about all manner of things, including travel and life in Japan.
