Traditional Japanese culture and jazz: two great tastes that taste great together.
That’s the idea behind Wa Meets Jazz, an annual event started last year that combines the Japanese cultural concept of “wa” and jazz music.
The event, which this year takes place October 14, will be held at Zojoji Temple in Shiba Park.
Wa Meets Jazz will feature musicians like pianist Yuki Arimasa and vocalist Geila Zilkha, plus artists like live painter Saori Kanda and calligrapher Kamari Maeda. Aside from music, it will also feature workshops in traditional Japanese arts.
For fans of Japan and jazz, this sounds like an event not to be missed.
