The Joy of Sake is a celebration of Japan’s national drink, with 370 labels in peak condition, and available for self-serve tasting. All regions and brewing styles in Japan are represented, as well as 13 sakes from US breweries.
Tokyo is the final stop in an annual tour that also includes Honolulu and New York. All of the labels are in peak condition, giving guests an opportunity to taste sake at its best along with appetizers from some of Tokyo’s top restaurants.
In keeping with sake’s growing international popularity, there are appetizers from Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese cuisines, each created to enhance the delicate flavor of premium sake. Other highlights of the event are Hawaiian music and hula (the Joy of Sake’s first event was held in Honolulu) and an appearance by the ten finalists in Japan’s annual Miss Sake Competition.
The Joy of Sake will be held on the 13th Floor “Tokubetsu Hall” of the TOC building near Gotanda Station. Whether you’re new to sake or a seasoned connoisseur, this is Tokyo’s sake event of the year.
