The first film to be presented in Disney Digital 3D, UP follows the story of Carl Fredricksen, a retired balloon salesman who, along with his late wife Ellie, spent his life dreaming of adventure. When Ellie passes away and developers gain control of his property, he takes matters into his own hands by tying thousands of balloons to his house and floating away toward fictional Paradise Falls, the land of he and Ellie’s dreams. He soon discovers an unwelcome stowaway in the form of Russell, a neighborhood Wilderness Explorer trying to earn his final merit badge for assisting the elderly. Together the two encounter adventures and obstacles of all sorts, growing closer at each turn. Poignantly funny and touching, UP is truly enjoyable for viewers of all ages.
