Haggis and whisky, anyone? The 27th Japan Scottish Highland Games will be held in early October at Kanda University in Makuhari. The games will include traditional entertainment such as bagpipes and Scottish country and highland dancing; demonstrations of brute strength in the stone put, hammer throw, and weight throwing competitions; and modern events such as football and tug of war. A variety of food stalls selling Scottish food and drinks will also be on hand to replenish the energy of exhausted participants.
