This exhibition reveals how the movie “Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea” was created by Miyazaki and his team, who strove to exploit the best characteristics of hand drawing in the animated film. They focused on the meticulous depiction of the lively movements of living things using thick pencilled lines. This exhibition traces the story of Ponyo, and focuses on several scenes in particular that show how they were created.
