All nationalities are welcome, but you’d better believe there’ll be an Aussie at the grill.
We all have our way of roasting, grilling, smoking and eating our barbecue food, but these guys will do it with aplomb for sure. Join the party, a great chance to see the gardens at the Australian embassy in Tokyo, and you are sure to meet many like-minded carnivores.
As the summer slowly fades (some of us might wish it would hurry up) the afternoons become much more bearable and actually, towards the end of September could be the perfect time for an event like this.
The Australian Society Tokyo was formed in the 1950s and has gone from strength to strength ever since, with its members living in Japan working in many fields and networking, making friends or just getting a slice of home through its many events throughout the year – perhaps the highlight of which is the annual.
The organisers promise a repeat of last year’s event, “a night to remember with live music, Australian meat and sausages, beer and wine and around 400 people in attendance.”
To see a list of other events by the Society – from coffee mornings to wine tastings to ‘sausage sizzles’ and golf days, have a look at the events section of their website, here.
