The ADAM ET ROPE’ Le Magasin is set to pay homage to the neighborhood’s historical heritage while also updating it for the 21st century.
For hundreds of years now, Sumida has been known for its connection to the Japanese painter and printmaker Katsushika Hokusai, famous for such iconic works as The Great Wave off Kanagawa. Le Magasin reinvents the artist’s works with a carefully curated selection of brand goods by ENLIGHTENMENT mixing some of Hokusai’s most popular works with colorful, geometric shapes to create things of psychedelic, chic beauty. Some of the items in the store’s NEO HOKUSAI line (available only at the Kinshicho location) include skateboards, tote bags, clear files, and Japanese fans.
