If you’re a cat person, from September 26 to October 10, Ikebukuro is the place to be.
That’s when Seibu Gallery in Seibu Ikebukuro will hold a photo exhibition by Mitsuaki Iwago devoted to felines from around the world. The exhibition encompasses some 130 photos of unique cats in 12 areas carefully selected from more than 60 shooting locations.
Iwago doesn’t just shoot photos: he is also the host of a cat-themed program on NHK, and is well-known for tracking down the world’s coolest cats.
The exhibition will feature some cats made famous by Iwago’s show and photos. That includes one who lives on the Copacabana Beach in the southeastern part of Rio de Janeiro, and another who makes its home at a pizza store in New York City.
In addition, photo books and other cat items will be sold.
