Located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Mishima Skywalk, at 400 meters, is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan. Now a vast forested area to the north of Mishima Skywalk has been developed into a new Forest Adventure park.
Forest Adventure, which originated in France, is a facility offering various treetop obstacle courses. The idea behind the park is to use the forest in its natural state. Unlike other amusement parks, damage to the natural environment is minimal. The concept caught on, and similar parks are now found throughout the world.
At Mishima, in addition to treetop activities, guests can take an exhilarating 300-meter zip line under the bridge, taking in a stunning view of Mt. Fuji while cruising through the forest. Another activity, Cliff Challenger, involves climbing a 10-meter wall. With an auto-belay, this activity is both thrilling and totally safe.
