These days, everyone is talking about Japanese cuisine, or washoku. There are plenty of restaurants where you can eat washoku, but if you’re interesting in an even deeper experience, check out the hands-on cooking experiences at hot spring resort Tsuruta Kisshotei in Izu.
The workshops, held from now until the end of March 2018, include classes in making meals with dried fish, soba noodles, magocha tea, wasabi, alfonsino fish, and more.
In addition, the hotel features a Japanese restaurant, multiple hot springs, spas, and even a “yokocho” featuring classic Japanese festival games.
