This museum, located in the historic sumo district of Ryogoku, has a vast permanent exhibition of 100,000 square feet displaying urban Tokyo life from the early 1600s onwards. Guided tours are available in English, Chinese, Korean, German, French, Spanish and Japanese. Special exhibitions are held regularly.
